Three Year Statement of Intent

Mission Statement

“Working together for all our children”

During the next three years, Church Hill Nursery School & Children’s Centre will build on the enlarged provision which incorporates the extended services. It is our intention to build on the expanded Nursery School and integrate more fully with the Children’s Centre with the aims of bringing together health, children’s services and education.

With expanded services Church Hill will continue to be an innovative organisation working with our partners in the local community. We will provide the best educational and development opportunities for local young children and a supportive resource for their parents and carers.

We will continue to develop shared leadership at all levels and incorporate the voice of the children, parents, staff and governors in decision making processes.

We will continue to address and be ever responsive and reflective to the needs of the local diverse community. We will achieve this by continuing to develop a range of high quality community initiatives and build in effective feedback opportunities to ensure we achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of our children.

Our provision will continue to be a model of good early years inclusive practice and our aim is to be recognised as an outstanding Nursery School and Children’s Centre, where everyone learns and can achieve their full potential.

At all times our central focus will be to continue to provide meaningful, enjoyable and stimulating learning opportunities for every child at Church Hill to lay the foundation for them to become successful lifelong learners.

Our intention is to develop an ethos around sustainable living and to deliver & encourage safe and healthy lifestyles and ethical development.

The effectiveness of these intents will be measured against the Every Child Matters Framework.
